Pets and Wildlife Safety (PAWS) Day
- This event has passed.
Pets And Wildlife Safety (PAWS) Day 2024 is an important event designed to educate our community on animal health, safety and well-being.
PAWS Day 2024 will bring together charities and organisations from across Canberra and the surrounding region to educate the community on what to do to help an animal in need.
If you have ever asked the question “I have found a snake in my yard who do I call?”, “What do I do when I find a kangaroo hit by a car”, or “how do I update my pet’s microchip details?” then this event is for you!
PAWS Day 2024 will provide attendees the opportunity to get all the information they need so they are ready to help keep all animals (both domestic and native) happy, healthy and safe.
Throughout the day there will be talks from various organisations including ACT Snake Removals, RSPCA, ACT Pet Crisis Support, Wombat Rescue, Animal Defenders Office, Canberra Mobile Vets and more!
There will be food and drinks, along with a kid’s game corner, and face painting! There is also an exhibit by Canberra Reptile Zoo!
Entry is by gold coin donation with a free tote bag (until stocks run out).
This event is proudly sponsored by Icon Water.
Pls note: only assistance dogs are permitted in the venue for this event. Pets are unable to attend.
