Come along for a relaxed community open day at Croke Place Wetlands — whether you’d like to lend a hand with planting a tree, join a guided walk, or simply drop by for a look, all are welcome.
Also – free sausage sizzle!
WHAT’S ON:
🌳 Tree planting (10.30am)
Featuring the Lions District Governor planting the first tree
🚶 Guided walks of critically endangered grassland
11am · 12pm · 1pm
🌭 Free sausage sizzle (thanks Lions!) and light refreshments
🪲 Waterbugs discovery table
🌿 Explore the site at your own pace, including:
– Ngunnawal Plant Use Garden
– Brindy Rocks trees and shrubs area
– “Scout Island”
– Native grass experimental site
🤝 Achilles Canberra will be helping out — come have a chat about inclusive exercise for people with disabilities
