Free Virtual Reality Headset creation Workshop for Young People at Canberra Civic Library

The Australian School of Entrepreneurship invites you to the Virtual Reality STEM Workshop for National Science Week 2024!

This workshop is an interactive program where students will learn about various STEM disciplines, including Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence. Participants will also have the chance to build their own virtual reality headsets, which they get to keep!

The workshop is designed for students aged 6 to 17 years.

ABOUT THE DAY

During the Virtual Reality STEM Workshop, students will explore the exciting world of STEM and innovation. They will have the opportunity to build their own virtual reality headset and brainstorm ideas for starting a STEM-based business.

Key activities include:

STEM 101. What is STEM? How is STEM used in the world around us?
Ideation. What are some local and global problems? How can we use technology and innovation to solve them?
Presentation. Students will be invited to present their business ideas, Shark Tank style!
Virtual Reality Headsets. Students will build their very own virtual reality headsets that they get to take home!

Date: Saturday, 17 August 2024
Workshop 1: 9:00am to 11:00am – 6 to 11 year olds
Workshop 2: 11:30am to 1:30pm – 12 to 17 years old

Location: Canberra Civic Library, Civic Square, London CCt, Canberra ACT 2600
Target Cohort: Students aged 6 to 17 years

Cost: Thanks to National Science Week, this program is at no cost to the participant to attend!
