Blade Runner: The Final Cut
In a bleak future Los Angeles, replicants – androids almost indistinguishable from humans – provide slave labour in off-world colonies. But when a group returns to earth, blade runner Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) must hunt them down.
With its stunning production design that riffed on noir and hard-boiled detective fiction, Blade Runner defined a new and influential aesthetic. Ridley Scott’s 2007 ‘Final Cut’ of the 1982 theatrical release brings greater ambiguity to Deckard’s own humanity.
‘…this remains a truly extraordinary, densely imagined version of both the future and the present, with a look and taste all its own.’ – Chicago Reader
