What does it mean to genuinely engage with the cultures, histories, languages and ideas of Asia and the Pacific? Immersia creates space for people to explore that question through experiences that bring communities together to learn, share and connect.

The annual flagship festival of the ANU School of Culture, History & Language (CHL), within the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP) at The Australian National University, Immersia opens the University to the wider community, bringing together students, staff, researchers, cultural communities, schools, partners and the public.

Across two weeks, the festival turns the University into a place for cultural exchange and discovery — showcasing the knowledge and expertise of ANU, celebrating the cultures and communities of our region, and creating opportunities for people to encounter Asia and the Pacific in meaningful and unexpected ways.

Through food, language, performance, film, workshops, conversations and hands-on experiences, Immersia invites everyone to participate, ask questions, make connections and see the region from new perspectives.
