Living Collection: The music of Luke Styles

  • Row Image

Luke Styles, one of Australia’s leading and most widely performed international composers, joins the Library for an evening of music and conversation as we explore the collection of Luke’s works held in the collection.

Luke Styles is joined by musical collaborator Tobias Cole to discuss Luke’s work, his career and the role the Library plays in creating a living collection of prominent Australian artists’ works.

Performances from the collection include Luke’s vocal music and two of his chamber works for strings. Performing on the evening are violinist Brad Tham, members of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra chorus, Canberra Children’s Choir (Music for Canberra), Vocal Fry (ANU Community Music Centre), pianist Linus Lee and conductor Tobias Cole.

Entry to this event is free however, bookings are essential. Please make a booking and the Library’s Events team will send you a direct link to the livestream via email. Or you can join through the Library’s YouTube channel.
