DESCRIPTION:As part of our Triumph over Adversity Series\, Sonia Di Mezza will share with us the challenges of moving to a regional town\, to lead a multicultural NGO\, in the heights of the pandemic\, and how the experience gave her life-long lessons that changed her outlook on life. \nSonia Di Mezza is the CEO of the Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services\, a solicitor and human rights lawyer. She is a culturally diverse woman from an Italian background\, and a board member of Amnesty International Australia. Sonia has worked as the CEO of Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services for three years in Bendigo\, during the COVID-19 pandemic. \nManning Clark House\n11 Tasmania Circle\, Forrest ACT 2603 \nThe presentation and discussion will be followed by some light Italian refreshments and a selection of operatic Neapolitan songs\, sung by Stephanie McAlister. \nBookings are essential.
