DESCRIPTION:Reconciliation Week 2026 at the National Museum of Australia \nThis Reconciliation Week\, join us at the National Museum for a celebration of Culture and Country. \nInspired by the cultural arts exhibition\, From Little Things\, Big Things GROW: From Nambour to Canberra\, the program honours the vibrant First Nations community project led by Gunggari and Kamilaroi Elder Aunty Jude Hammond. \nExplore the pop-up exhibition\, enjoy live performances and take part in a coolamon-making workshop with Aunty Jude. \nPop-up exhibition\n26 May – 1 June 2026 \nThis display celebrates the cultural revitalisation initiatives led by Gunggari and Kamilaroi Elder Aunty Jude Hammond on Gubbi Gubbi\, Wakka Wakka\, Butchulla and Jinabara Country in south and north-east Queensland. \nPerformances\n10–10.30am\, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May 2026 \nCelebrating songlines\, this performance is grounded in tradition while stepping into the contemporary\, featuring both emerging and established First Nations performers. \nCoolamon Cultural Workshop\n11am–1pm\, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May 2026 \nCreate your own coolamon\, a traditional Indigenous vessel\, in a special workshop led by Aunty Jude Hammond and inspired by From Little Things\, Big Things GROW: From Nambour to Canberra.
