SUMMARY:Photography without a camera: Cyanotype printing workshop at the National Library
DESCRIPTION:Join PhotoAccess tutors Eunie and Claire for a hands-on cyanotype printing workshop inspired by the Fit to Print exhibition at the National Library. \nIt will be a relaxed\, creative morning designed to spark curiosity and celebrate the beauty of printmaking. Participants will learn about the history of cyanotype\, see examples of contemporary cyanotypes\, and watch a live demonstration of the process from mixing chemicals to exposing prints. \nUsing acetate negatives made from selected works in the Fit to Print: Defining Moments from the Fairfax Photo Archive exhibition\, participants will create their own Prussian-blue cyanotype prints. Printing can be done outdoors with natural materials or indoors using a UV printer. \nAll materials will be supplied\, and attendees can take home their prints. Light morning tea will be provided during the workshop. \nThis event is presented by the Friends of the National Library of Australia and PhotoAccess.
