DESCRIPTION:Learn to paint portraits from life in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Starting from the basics\, this course will lead you through the mechanics and practical process of painting portraits\, with regular demonstrations and discussions.\nTopics covered include oil painting basics\, how to create an illusion of form\, portrait drawing fundamentals\, and mixing skin tones.\nThe first week\, we will focus on creating a black and white painting of the head. In the following weeks\, we will have two x two week portrait sessions\, walking through different techniques and considerations when painting a portrait.
