Tales of Lake George
Did you know: Werriwa (or Weereewaa) is the Aboriginal name for Lake George.
With the first European sighting of Lake George (Werriwa) on 19 August in 1820 (1999 years ago) by convict Joseph Wild, we want to hear your ‘tales’ of Lake George...
Did you once swim in the lake? Have you seen anything particular. Do you know a story about the speed race? We want to document your tales.
Join us for a fun family morning with Tim the Yowie Man and hear a few of his ‘tales’, Collector Historical Society will also be there.
Cost Adults $20 includes coffee/tea and morning tea. Kids are free.
