Linking the Ladies

When 18 Aug, 2019 1:00pm — 4:00pm Where Canberra Rex Hotel, Northbourne Avenue, Braddon Website
Linking the Ladies is an event aimed to bring together women that might be experiencing mental illness, separation, court proceedings, domestic violence and general hardship.

It's an event that will create an opportunity to make friendships, meet inspiring women, gain tips on how to navigate legal proceedingdings, self care post leaving violence and so much more! It is not your usual empowering event based around career or development, instead it is focused on creating a safe environment for women to discuss their challenges and find common ground and support that might have been through similar journey's. It's a place where women can feel inspired to find their voice and advocate for themselves.

Linking the Ladies has two inspiring speakers attending for the afternoon, our Founder, Merryn, who has significant experience navigating the local court systems including the Family Court of Australia, has had her own challenges with post natal depression and anxiety and trying to balance her working life with being a mother of two young sons.

Despite being an event for the ladies, our second speaker is Mark Crosweller, an amazingly inspirational, successful and very compassionate human being. Mark has had an extensive career in crisis, emergency and security management. He has seen humanity's deepest sorrows and joys whilst in crisis and because of this he has also experienced the best and worst in what humanity has to offer. Mark is courageous while being humble and has so much insight into how we can all better manage the challenges life throws at us.

Join us for some afternoon tea and coffee (and some sneaky giveaways) at the Rex Hotel, Canberra. You will walk away feeling empowered and inspired with some tools in your belt to help you along your journey. Check out the Linking the Ladies website for more details on our founder and blogs that might help you!

Seating is limited so secure your ticket early!
