Tarago is a small rural community, with a big heart within an hour of Canberra. If you are looking at doing something on Sunday 4th March, come along for a drive and check us out. If you think you have a talent for making cakes or jam... Maybe you are a whizz with the sewing machine, have a talent for arranging flowers why not enter our famous pavilion (entries must be in between 9-12 Saturday 3rd March, judging will be a closed session Saturday afternoon).
Once again we also have a shearing competition with a total prize money of $4,500. Have you every wanted to test your skills at shearing a sheep?? We have a beginners class all the way up to professionals. This competition will also give you points towards the Australain titles later in the year.
Care for a raffle with a difference??? Why not pick up one of our cow pat lotto tickets... First prize is $1,000 cash with 8x$20... How does this work??? A cow is placed into a marked square and if it poops on your square you are $1,000 richer... $20 is given to the 8 squares around the winner.
