Defiant Lives - Disability rights documentary

4 December 2017

Canberra Centre, Bunda Street, Canberra

The Details

Defiant Lives introduces the world to the most impressive activists you’ve never heard of and tells the story of the rise and fight of the disability rights movement in the United States, Britain and Australia. The film weaves together never-before-seen archival footage with the often-confronting personal stories of people with disabilities as they moved from being warehoused in institutions to fighting for independence and control over their lives.

Tickets to attend the screening cost $21.85 (including the booking fee) and can be reserved on the Demand Film website. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately, wheelchair spaces will be limited.

Unlike a traditional movie showing, this Demand Film screening requires that 45 more tickets be reserved in the next fortnight to confirm the screening will go ahead. Tell your friends and have them join us for this special one-time screening of Defiant Lives! Thank you for all your support!
